About Karen
Karen, a finance professional, began her accountancy and finance career in 2003, working in practice while completing her training and professional qualifications. In 2008, after becoming fully qualified, she transitioned into industry. Her career progressed from Senior Accountant to Financial Controller and eventually to Head of Finance for a European-based company. Throughout her various roles, Karen acquired diverse experience across multiple sectors.
Karen has been passionate about swimming since childhood and has competed for over a decade. In 2021, she seized the opportunity to purchase a local baby and pre-school swimming franchise that her children attended. In recent years, she has actively taught swimming classes to hundreds of children each week while also managing the day-to-day operations of her business.
Owning a franchised small business has given Karen invaluable first-hand insights into the complexities of franchising and small business operations.
Karen had an idea to combine her expertise from the fields of finance and franchise ownership, and in early 2024 founded Pink Lily Accounting Solutions. It is her mission to share her insights and experiences with other small business owners, franchisees, and female entrepreneurs, helping them to grasp the financial aspects of their businesses and make informed decisions – building a successful future, together.
In her spare time, Karen can often be found poolside assisting with her daughter’s swimming club or spending time with her family.
